Megan DeBoer is the Development Director for the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering at the SDSU Alumni & Foundation. A Brookings native, Megan is a proud Bobcat and Jackrabbit. She attended SDSU and graduated in 2007 with bachelor’s degrees in music and business. Prior to joining the team in 2026, Megan had a long career at a Midwest-based, family-owned beverage distributor, Johnson Brothers, where she focused on supplier relations, team leadership, and corporate strategy. She and her partner, Anthony Wahl – also an ’07 SDSU alum – live in Sioux Falls with their son, Leo, and their Australian Shepherd mix, Delta Dawn. They enjoy being outdoors and their flock of backyard chickens, attending arts and sporting events, and spending time with their extended family.

This university and community have had a lifelong impact on me, and it is a great privilege to promote and carry out the land-grant mission of SDSU. I am so grateful to call this place ‘home’!
