Over the years, Jackrabbit Journeys has taken alumni and friends across the globe—exploring iconic landmarks, rich cultures, and unforgettable destinations. From breathtaking coastlines to historic cities, each adventure has strengthened connections within our yellow and blue community and created memories that last a lifetime.
Normandy, London, and Paris
May 2025
The Jackrabbit Journeys group experienced an unforgettable adventure through England and France, beginning in London with guided visits to landmark sites such as the Tower of London, the Churchill War Rooms, and Windsor Castle, along with a Thames River cruise and a classic afternoon tea. They crossed the English Channel to Normandy to honor World War II heroes at historic D-Day locations. The group continued on to Giverny to explore Monet’s iconic gardens before spending three memorable nights in Paris, where highlights included an illuminated Seine River cruise, the Musée d’Orsay, and free time to discover the beauty and culture of the City of Light.
New Orleans and The Big Easy
September 2024
The Jackrabbit Journeys group soaked in the vibrant spirit of New Orleans with a four-night stay in the French Quarter. They explored the city’s rich history and culture through a guided French Quarter walking tour, a visit to Café du Monde, a scenic cruise aboard the Steamboat Natchez, and a hands-on dinner at the New Orleans School of Cooking. Travelers experienced the beauty of the Garden District, toured the National World War II Museum, and ventured to Oak Alley Plantation with its iconic canopy of live oaks. The group also enjoyed dinner at the celebrated Court of Two Sisters and cheered on the Jackrabbits at the SDSU vs. Southeastern Louisiana University football game before returning home with unforgettable memories of the Big Easy.
Classical Greece - Land and Cruise
May 2024
The Jackrabbit Journeys group embarked on an unforgettable exploration of Classical Greece, beginning with immersive days in Athens touring the Acropolis, the Temple of Zeus, and the vibrant heart of the city. They ventured to the legendary sites of Delphi and Meteora, discovering ancient monasteries perched atop soaring rock formations and tracing history at Thermopylae. The adventure continued with a four-night Aegean cruise, visiting Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Rhodes, Crete, and Santorini—experiencing iconic landscapes, UNESCO sites like Ephesus, clifftop acropolises, medieval old towns, and sunset views over volcanic shores. Returning to Athens, the group explored the National Archaeological Museum and wrapped up their Greek odyssey with a celebratory farewell dinner.
