Family of the YearNominate a Family
The deadline to submit a Family of the Year nomination is November 1.
Any nominations submitted after the deadline will be considered for the following year.
All applications will be processed at the end of the fall semester. The SDSU Alumni & Foundation will notify the chosen recipients in mid-December, and the family will be honored at an awards banquet and at halftime of a basketball game in early 2027.

Nomination Criteria
Several criteria are considered when choosing the Family of the Year:
- Lineage that attended SDSU
- Involvement in organized on-campus activities while attending SDSU
- Involvement with SDSU as alumni
- Contributions back to the University in the forms of time, talents, and treasures
- Overall positive impact made on SDSU
